C. Lynnette Lawyer, LEED AP, CGP – Owner, Planning, Design & Construction
Lynnette has over 35 years of experience in the fields of design and construction. Beginning her career working for her father’s roofing company, she went on to get her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Since that time, Lynnette has worked on a wide variety of single-family, multi-family, commercial and industrial projects throughout the Houston and Dallas areas, ranging from $75,000 to $7,000,000. Her knowledge spans from community development and planning, through the design, construction documentation, permitting and construction of the projects. Lynnette held the role of Project Manager as early as 2000 and graduated to a Department Manager in 2004. She spent nine years at Houston Habitat for Humanity as the Manager of Planning & Design, working on over 225 low-income homes. In 2019, Lynnette officially joined with her team of associates and rebranded her company GP-DB, LLC, a full-service design-build firm. Lynnette currently is a member of both the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) and the Greater Dallas Planning Council (GDPC). She currently volunteers her expertise to the Settegast Heights Redevelopment Corporation. In this capacity, she is assisting the Board to identify challenges the neighborhood faces such as the railroad, pollutants, flooding, infrastructure, poverty, and overall sustainability.
Robert Lawyer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP – Architect, Multi-Family & Commercial
Robert has 30+ years’ experience with many project types including Commercial, Retail, Municipal, Hospitals, High-rise, Multi-Use Residential, Senior Assisted Living, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Hospitality, and Medical Office Buildings. He has led many project developments through the entire approval processes with planning committees and city councils and has personally guided and expedited permitting for many dozens of projects. Robert’s experience extends to sophisticated program challenges, complex multi-use projects, and extremely complicated project contractual relationships. He works closely with clients, users, and design team members to provide skilled planning fostering creative solutions for the best possible user and public experiences while balancing design constraints, construction costs, complex building phasing challenges, code requirements, and constant innovations in technology. Robert has tenure with such outstanding firms as HKS, Perkins+Will, and BOKA Powell and is a Board Member for the Greater Dallas Planning Council and member of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals.
Atlee Zaborowski w/ ZABCO Construction – Director of Construction
Atlee currently serves as Director of Construction for GP-DB, LLC. ZABCO has partnered with GP-DB, LLC for our residential projects. ZABCO has over 30 years of experience in home building and land development, including 15 years in civil construction developing sewer systems for large commercial projects. Their president, John, previously served as Construction Director and Land Manager for Houston Habitat for Humanity. During his 12 years with the non-profit, he oversaw the land development and construction phases of the $6.2 million, 62 home Milby Park Subdivision and the 11 million, 111 home Harrel Park Subdivision, both Houston Habitat affordable neighborhoods. He led the redevelopment of LARA lots in historic Settegast and construction of the next phase of new homes in that community as well. During his tenure, John worked closely with the City of Houston and LARA officials to complete over 75 homes in the Fifth Ward and Settegast communities. Following the devastating floods of August 2017, he created and implemented a rehab program that successfully remodeled 400 homes in low-income areas hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey. His team completed 80 homes made possible by a $3.8 million grant from the Mayor’s Fund in 2018. From 2018-2020 he oversaw the completion of an additional 220 homes made possible with a $7.8 million grant from LISC.
